The Shrine of the Immaculate Conception's

Welcome to the Grace Notes!

The Catholic Shrine's Children and Youth Choir

The Grace Notes' mission is to give children and youth in our parish the opportunity to participate in the mass. The first Sunday of each month, the Grace Notes meet in the parish hall in preparation for leading prayer in the 11am mass through song!

Members of the Grace Notes will learn musicality, confidence, community, and most importantly: how to share the word of God with others.

What is a grace note? A grace note is not only a cute ensemble name, but a musical term! Grace Notes are used as exciting ornamentation in a wide range of musical compositions. As a Grace Note ensemble member, YOU are adding the energy and lagniappe to the mass.

Meet the Director!

is a second year graduate

student in Choral Conducting at Georgia State University. She made her transition from Louisiana to Atlanta following her degree in Vocal Music Education (K-12) from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Throughout her undergrad, Morgan participated in numerous choral ensembles including the UL Lafayette Chamber Singers, where she served as the social media coordinator and president, and was a member of the Baton Rouge Early Vocal Ensemble (BREVE). Across Louisiana, Morgan was extremely active in liturgical music ministries, opera and musical theatre performance endeavors, teaching voice, directing musical opportunities, and teaching chorus at the middle and high school levels. Morgan is absolutely thrilled with the musical experiences she has recieved since moving to Atlanta, such as singing for numerous conferences, teaching vocal music through lessons and ensembles, and performing with GSU Opera Theatre as "Countess Almaviva" in their production of Le nozze di Figaro. She currently sings with the Coro Vocati Chamber Ensemble, the Voces Amicis Chamber Choir, and is on staff at The Catholic Shrine of the Immaculate Conception as assistant music director, director of Grace Notes Youth Choir, and marketing coordinator.
